The Splish-Splash Trainers serve as transitionary object for the brain in response to rising sea level.
In addressing climate change I focused on the subtle transitions our bodies and minds would need in order to a world partially submerged. This object responded to the significance the sound of footsteps play in the metronome of the city and how this sound would change with rising sea levels. I achieved this by modified a pair of shoes by placing a simple button on the heel of the foot, which with force applied, would create the sound of splashing with each step. The sounds were recorded in my bathtub and manipulated with WavePad and Adobe Premium Pro.
